December-January Challenge - Helm Chain

Here are the entries for the December/January Guild Challenge! The theme this time was Helm chain, and we got some gorgeous examples of this wonderfully adaptable weave!

Welcome, Interlinkt!

Interlinkt is a relatively new member to the guild, but due to family goings on lately, I haven't been online like I should have been. So this is a little late. Please excuse my neglect and let's see how she answered our questions! :)

1) How long have you been a chainmailler?
I have been doing chainmaille for about a year now.

2) Why d you like chainmaille?
I like chainmaille because I love color and I love how chainmaille can be so easy or so hard but look simplistic or elegant.

3) What is your favorite type of ring?
My favorite type of ring is anodized aluminum because of the range of color you can find it in and it also helps to keep my products affordable.

4) What kind of items do you prefer to make?
I love making bracelets, but I am working on learning as much as I can to broaden the scope of my products.

5)Which weave would you like to learn that you don't currently know?
I have to say, Dragonscale is kicking my ass.

6) Which piece are you most proud of?
I am most proud of my Rope cuff because I love the multicolor aspect and it was the biggest number of rings in one project I have dealt with to date, lol.

7) What advice would you give to someone who was considering doing chainmaille?
I would say to start with something easy, like Box or Byzantine, but to do it with multiple colors so that the possibilities can be seen. Then I would say just go nuts, because even projects with a mistake can be turned into something interesting.
